Happy birthday!

Hello,
This is a quick and simple birthday card I made using an embossing folder which came free with a magazine. As it was quite a fancy folder I decided to keep the decoration simple so I just highlighted the embossed detail with gilding wax, matted and layered it on to some gold mirror board and then on to a cream card blank. The sentiment is a Craftwork Cards one and the cream mat is from a Tonic decorative wreath die set.

Christmas Candle

Hello,
This was a quite quick and easy Christmas card to make. It's Tattered Lace music backing paper matted and layered on gold paper and then on to a Kraft Card base. The candle is cut using the Tonic Rococo candle die cut in kraft card and the same gold paper then layered drop shadowed. The base is a Tonic Swirly Frame die cut in gold and cream card. The Merry Christmas Washi tape has been in my stash for ages, I put it on cream card and then layered on to gold card. I finished it off with some gold glitter on the candle flame.

Gingerbread cookies

Hello,
Another Christmas card done! This one is on Kraft card, which I wasn't sure about to start with but now I really like using for certain things. I used Tattered Lace gingham backing paper and also for the "Nordic style" trim, with white and dark red mats. The letters and numbers are all from a Tattered Lace die. The Gingerbread men are cut using a Tonic die, as are the small circles, I think he's such a happy looking gingerbread man!

You are in my thoughts

Hello,
I've had this paper for ages, it came free with a magazine, it's cream background with flowers and butterflies in pale grey and silver, it's so nice I've not wanted to use it! As there were 3 sheets I finally decide to bite the bullet and use one of them. I took the cream and grey colours as inspiration and layered it onto a silver grey card and then cream card blank. The sentiment is a Tonic one cut down to a square, coloured with Antique Linen distress ink then layered on to the same grey card. I cut two butterflies using a Marianne butterfly which I layered on to of each other by the sentiment. I wanted to keep it simple so that the paper took centre stage.
